Initial Lymphedema Assessment
Description
Initial Appointment is for NEW Lymphedema Clients. The appointment will consist of filling out documents, setting treatment goals and measurements if applicable. Hands-on massage/MLD Manual Lymphatic Drainage vary in time and will not be the full 60 minutes. Please note: bandages are not supplied as part of the appointment, if needed, will accur additional charges. Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) is the most successful treatment for chronic extremity lymphedema. Post mastectomy lymphedema and other related conditions respond extremely well to this gentle, non-invasive, and highly effective therapy. CDT consists of the following four steps: 1. Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) 2. Compression Therapy 3. Exercises 4. Skin Care
